  1. No OpenGL Support?

  2. There will be no OpenGL support for wine until Apple decides to fix X11 for OS X.
It looks like Ben Byer from Apple is at it… but the X11 buglist is still rather long…

  3. XQuartz, is it for Tiger to? There is only Leopard mentioned

  4. I think there won’t be a fix for Tiger, ever.
But wine is going to drop X11 eventually… I think OpenGL will work then.

  5. It doesn’t work with latest X11-2.2.0.1 (from http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/xquartz)

    getting error message:

    with X11-2.1.3.pkg no problem before.

  6. @Raymond

    as stated here:
    http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/xquartz/wiki/X112.2.0

they have changed the X11 launch service in 2.2.0.
So, work for me 🙂 …
A new release for ies4osx is due for other reasons, too.

  7. Hi Mike,

Do you include, foresee to include, or resigned to include the MacOSX/QuartxDriver patches (http://wiki.winehq.org/MacOSX/QuartzDriver)?

I know it is pretty hackish and thus might break, but would be quite cool to not depend on X11.

  8. @Loïc

actually there was a big patch submitted a month ago, in which I’m pretty interested, but I simply did not find the time yet.

I see the future in Quartz as X11 is badly broken on OS X (especially OpenGL).
