For Tiger and Leopard
I know, this is kind of a fast update, but sometimes knots just open. It’s still Darwine 1.0, but I changed some things behind the scene:
- added the remaining dependencies (libusb/libgphoto2/libsane/liblcms/)
- tuned the startupscript (fallback for libraries)
- fixed a bug in Darwine script (libraries symlinks)
- diffed 4mb of changes between crossover 7.0 against wine 1.0 to find some OpenGL hints
Yes, OpenGL works under OS X 10.5.3 with the latest xquartz (2.2.3) installed.
Make sure to start programs with winefile.exe from the Sample-apps in the Darwine folder.
Other side-effects:
- correctly drawn transparent icons
- still got some troubles with windows that creep down
- still not all OpenGL programs do work
- no OpenGL for Tiger
Includes TRiX 0.9.5, which is a OS X frontend to Dan Kegels winetricks, to install some essential fonts, libraries or runtimes.

Txs to Max Stirlitz & Mark Satterthwaite for the help with PATHs and OpenGL.

For our English speaking friends, just a rant about discontinuing my favorite brand of chips. But that should not stop you from signing this petition to bring them back

Thank You very much for your mails, unfortunately, I could not answer them all.
This version fixes the Adobe Flash Bug and I tried to adress some of your questions about Suns Java.
I stop to include plugins with ies4osx, as with the current Darwine and ies4osx you can install them right from within IE6 if You need them. The current Adobe Flash is working OK for me. I’ve mixed results with SUNs Java.
Just remember, that your ie6 needs win9x or me plugins, if you try others…
What’s new?
- Removed Flash Plugin from Installer
Now, best run with a new copy of Darwine-1.0rc5!

PS.
Thanks to Mac Geek Gab of The Mac Observer for having ies4osx on their podcast. Gave the web provider something to chew on.

This one was due for some time!
But I simply was not finding a showstopping bug, when run outside XCode.
So for the afterworld: If you happen to pipe output from a script started with NSTask, “ps” will act as “ps A” if run inside XCode and as “ps” if run in liberty (i.e. You’ll see all processes in XCode, but not if released).
What’s new?
- New launcher for Internet Explorer. Much lighter and it will terminate all instances of wine and wineserver (read all Windows Programs) before lauching a new copy of Internet Explorer. This is mainly to get rid of hanging internet Explorers.
- Error checking and progressmeter for downloads. This is a try to prevent incomplete installations. Unfortunately, the MS server for the ActiveX controls will still turn you down, half of the times, but at least you know it, now.
Best run with a new copy of Darwine-1.0rc2!
