WineBottler | 1.8-rc4

Yep… Wine is turning final to a new stable!

… and so is WineBottler.
After the dust of the major changes in WineBottler 1.7.52 have settled, this one comes only with minor fixes and improvements.
The most important might be the rebinding of the CMD-key. As 80% have voted on having the CMD-key doing the work of the CTRL-key, this feature is on by default, now.
A big thank you flies out to Tobias B. on directing my head to it :).

As usual: head over to winebottler.kronenberg.org and grab your copy 🙂 .

Enjoy!

… no, it’s not my shoulder. Txs for asking.

  1. Hi, Mike!

Thanks for continuing to support Snow Leopard!

While I do have another Mac with Maverick running on it, my laptops are stuck with 10.6. Too many companies just stopped supporting Snow Leopard when Apple did … but Microsoft supported XP for ten years! (*shakes fist in the general direction of Apple*)

  2. Hi (again), Mike!

Thanks also for switching from the control key to the command key for normal operations … but unfortunately, I can no longer access the menus in a Windows program with a keyboard combination … that is, whether I hit Cntrl-F or Option (Alt)-F, I get the Find window instead of accessing the File menu, which is what I was trying to do.

    Fix, please! :o)

  4. Txs Glen! As long as I can build it on 10.6, I’ll do!
