Updates & Twitter

Keep me going
give me coffee! Smoke 1 Smoke 2 Smoke 3

Just a small hint on what I do, and why there are not to much updates to this blog...

I usually post, if I have something to offer, except on my "small sources of joy" – and by offering I don't think on "offering apologies on why there are no updates today" 🙂 . I use most of my time to propel my projects, writing the blog-entry is to dot the i.

I hear you, I read all your comments (as I have to allow them to the board), I read all the emails – but I can only answer that much. I really hear you.

But if you want to
- feel the pulse
- know where I run into building problems with latest darwine
- what features rpncalc is receiving this instant
- see if i find a fix to the prefix problem in ies4osx

...have a look at twitter or even follow me – as I often drop a line when I hit my head.

The Cocotron CDT 23-12-2006/r43

xorandor_cocotron_wineAfter building the wine 0.9.43 and adding the corefonts, I updated my cocotron environment. Things are in the flow and look way better now:

I think the garbled Menu I experienced in earlier tries was related to the wine font issue and was resolved by adding the corefonts.

Now we wait for NSDocument to be supported 😉

The Cocotron (CDT 12-06-2006)

I'm always on the lookout for good mac/win crossdev solutions. So I was really happy that The Cocotron was finally released to the public :). Build Your Windows Apps right from XCode - To good to be true?

Installation was rather hasslefree and I fired up XCode and a small piece of code of mine: xorandor a bin/hex/dec and/or/xor utility.

xorandor

After some target tweeking it finally compiled and Darwine-0.9.12 did really come up with a thing that somewhat resembled the original. Win XP on [kju:] then showed me, that the result is far closer than I expected:
