Keep me going
give me coffee!
Just a small hint on what I do, and why there are not to much updates to this blog...
I usually post, if I have something to offer, except on my "small sources of joy" – and by offering I don't think on "offering apologies on why there are no updates today" 🙂 . I use most of my time to propel my projects, writing the blog-entry is to dot the i.
I hear you, I read all your comments (as I have to allow them to the board), I read all the emails – but I can only answer that much. I really hear you.
But if you want to
- feel the pulse
- know where I run into building problems with latest darwine
- what features rpncalc is receiving this instant
- see if i find a fix to the prefix problem in ies4osx
...have a look at twitter or even follow me – as I often drop a line when I hit my head.
Did I really say the whole nine miles? Here is the Dashboard widget for OS X :).
This time we go the whole nine yards.
After testing and using the rpn-calculator on the iPod Touch, a member of my family (with tablet) asked if it was possible to do a non safari version. I made some changes and wrote a .webapp wrapper for prism, so that it can be used comfortably on prism (or firefox).
What's prism and what are .webapps? prism is basically a webbrowser without the browser UI. It loads .webapps (webpages) and runs them like a normal applications.
Here's the rpn-calculator.webapp.
If You have installed prism, this will load and install the calc.
I hope You enjoyed Christmas eve as I did. I somehow managed to get around all the hassle and lay hands on a iTouch 🙂 - What a gadget!
As I'm a big fan of RPN, You can imagine that I was not exactly happy with the integrated calculator. So I started to code a webapp-replica of the HP 32S II. Having me served well over nearly two decades, the 32S II is still a trusted companion of mine.
Basic functionality is now finished, but it still lacks key features like menus, programming and equitation solving :). I think my old HP will remain on my desk for some more years.
If You want to give it a swirl (iPhone, iTouch or Safari 3.0 needed): www.kronenberg.org/rpn
for iPhone/iTouch users, You might like this shorter domain alias: www.kberg.ch/rpn 🙂
Link to Original HP Page. - enjoy! Mike
